Beautiful, strong, thick and healthy hair is everyone’s wish, but unfortunately in these modern times people very much suffer from hair issues, especially from hair loss. Along with the face the hair is something that is first seen on a person, and because of that people are trying their best to have the proper hair style and healthy hair.

The common reason for the appearance of hair issues is insufficient blood flow in the area that corresponds to the brain part, to the skull. This can be a result from the poor function of the endocrine system and an exhausted nervous system. Additionally, our body suffers from a general demineralization, congestion and buildup of toxins, which very much contributes to the quality of hair.

What kind of food we intake on daily basis will determine our overall health. So, when the hair falls, the cells of the scalp are not getting the right nutrients in order to function accordingly. We need to incorporate a diet high in minerals like iron and zinc and packed with vitamins B6, and C. These nutrients are of vital importance for the growth of a healthy hair.


1.Optimal hair diet

The optimal diet for the health of the hair should include nutrient-dense foods like fruits and vegetables and if possible organic so that the body receives only the best nutrients. Therefore, you should incorporate organic foods into your diet because the conventional foods contain a lot of endocrine disruptors that affect our hormonal balance and in that way hair growth.

You hair will obtain the most form fruit and vegetable juices as they are highly concentrated with nutrients and especially minerals. Hence, make sure to intake plenty of fruits, veggies, nuts, and seeds. All these foods are high in minerals, alkalizing, and abundant with valuable nutrients that allow the body and scalp to regenerate and function accordingly.

Foods that you need to limit their intake are Trans fatty acids, processed foods, alcohol and sugar. These foods should be avoided by all means as they are the most harmful for the overall health including the health of the hair. Moreover, they are acidic and buildup excessive amounts of toxins in the body. Their consumption will increase the inflammation and cause hormonal imbalances. This will result in brittle hair and its rapid falling.

2.Medicinal plants

Rhodiole is a plant with invigorating properties that can fight hair loss caused by stress. On the other hand, ashwagandha (or Indian ginseng) contains anti-inflammatory properties and controls hair loss by lowering the cortisol levels in the body. This plant increases the vitality and energy levels.

3.Scalp masks of essential oils

The use of essential oils can help in stimulating hair growth.  You can use the following essential oils like castor oil, coconut oil or olive oil which can provide you with a perfectly healthy hair. However, prior use they need to be diluted in carrier oil.

Rosemary essential oil promotes hair growth due to its ability to boost cellular metabolism. This offers greater thickness for the hair.

Nard essential oil coming from the Himalayas shows plenty of virtues which can stimulate hair growth.

Lavender, sage, thyme, or peppermint essential oils enhance the blood circulation in the scalp thus improving the nutrient supply and the proper function of the cells, which in turn prevents hair loss.

You can obtain all the benefits of the essential oils if you mix a few drops to the equivalent of a tablespoon of coconut oil, olive or jojoba oil, and with this mixture perform a massage on your scalp.

4.Food supplements

In order to improve the quality of your hair and protect it from hair loss you should take in the following food supplements:

1.Vitamins of B group, especially vitamins B6 or B5 and B8 which work together and thus promote the regrowth of the hair.
2.Zinc, this mineral contributes to optimal hair development because it takes part in the synthesis of keratin.
3.Fish oil, this oil effectively lowers the inflammation, supports hair growth and provides it with density. You can also apply fish oil straight onto the scalp and thus enjoy all its benefits.
4.Bone broth protein powder, it is high in protein and minerals which are very beneficial for your hair and as well as for the overall health.
